PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BSMT) program of La Consolacion University Philippines, under the College of Allied Medical Professions, is a four-year degree program designed to develop competent, ethical, and compassionate medical laboratory professionals anchored in the Catholic-Marian-Augustinian tradition of education and service.

Rooted in the vision of becoming a center of academic excellence in health professions, the BSMT program emphasizes quality education that integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, and moral values. It aims to prepare students for the effective practice of medical technology, enabling them to respond to the dynamic needs of both local and global healthcare systems.

Through a learner-centered curriculum, the program ensures students gain proficiency in clinical laboratory science, research, public health, and diagnostic services, while also fostering their capacity to serve with humility, compassion, and integrity. Students are immersed in meaningful experiences that strengthen their clinical competence, cultural sensitivity, and social responsibility—especially in addressing the needs of underserved communities.

In pursuit of its mission, the program promotes:

  • Collaborative linkages with professional organizations and healthcare institutions;
  • Active engagement in health-related research and innovations;
  • Community-based health programs that reflect Augustinian values and service;

Graduates of the BSMT program are expected to be globally competent professionals who uphold national identity and spiritual values, contribute to the advancement of healthcare, and embody the ideals of humble and generous service in their respective fields.

INTRODUCTION

In every esteemed institution, leadership drives progress, and at La Consolacion University Philippines, the spirit of leadership thrives within the Medical Technology Executive Society (MTES). As the highly regarded organization committed to enhancing the Medical Technology program and representing aspiring Medical Technologists, MTES is far more than just a title; it’s a purpose, a passion, and a commitment to excellence in the field.


ABOUT MTES

The Medical Technology Executive Society (MTES) is the official student-led organization of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology program at La Consolacion University Philippines, under the College of Allied Medical Professions. It serves as a platform for leadership, academic growth, and student representation.

MTES envisions itself to become a network of transformation to serve as a venue for essential and comprehensive growth towards an Augustinian valued and future-ready Medical Technologists for the students Medical Technology program of LCUP committed to produce graduates who are globally competitive in the field of medical laboratory science.
The organization aims to:

  • Establish a single, governing body that coordinates activities that adhere to the Medical Technology program of the CAMP Department;
  • Promote the development of Medical Technology students of LCUP;
  • Contribute to the advancement of medical technology research;
  • Administer unanimous information network and monitoring system of activities in the Medical Technology Program of LCUP;
  • Generate advanced knowledge to produce competent Medical Technology professionals committed to assisting in the provision of high-quality healthcare.

Throughout the academic year 2024–2025, MTES has actively enriched student life through meaningful initiatives and collaborative events that promote both learning and service:

Organizational Development and Leadership At the heart of MTES is its strong foundation of student leadership and growth:

  • 1st and 2nd General Assembly and Orientations
  • Election and Induction of Officers
  • White Coat, Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony

Academic and Professional Enrichment MTES amplified the academic journey with a series of seminars that bridged knowledge and real-world practice:

  • Histopathologic Techniques Seminar
  • Statistics Seminar
  • Basic Phlebotomy Skill Seminar
  • CPD Seminar on HIV and MTB surveillance

Community Extension & Health Advocacy True to the Augustinian values of compassion and service, MTES extended its reach to the community from children to the elderly:

  • Blood Typing Booth
  • CAMPasko Na at the Barasoain Memorial Integrated School
  • CAMPiling at Brgy. Catmon, Malolos, Bulacan via House-to-House
  • CAMP-AYO Alliance at the Mother Rita Homes

Faculty Engagement The organization fostered connection and gratitude through warm gestures—a celebration of expression and appreciation to the programs' committed professionals:
