The University, represented by the Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages, Dr. Mark Rey C. Santos, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Dr. Enrico F. Rosales, and Director for Academic Quality Assurance, Dr. Jay Mark B. Santos, partook in the 15th Asian Conference on Education (ACE2023) held in partnership with the International Academic Forum (IAFOR), held on November 22-25, 2023 at the Toshi Center Hotel, Tokyo, Japan.

ACE2023 encourages academics and scholars worldwide to exchange ideas and strategies in an international forum. This also is an avenue to meet new friends, connect, and build partnerships across borders.

The LCUP Delegates, Dr. Mark Rey, Dr. Eric, and Dr. Jay Mark, flew from the Philippines to Japan, carrying their experiences in the Philippine academe and their papers to be presented during the international conference. Dr. Mark Rey presented the research co-authored by the LCUP Research Officer Ms. Mariefe B. Cruz, entitled "The Effect of Students’ Use of AI in Research: Towards Policy Recommendations on the Responsible Use of AI in Schools” under the session Design, Implementation, & Assessment of Innovative Technologies in Education which he also facilitated and chaired. Dr. Enrico chaired the Professional Training, Development & Concerns in Education session, where he presented his research entitled "Relationship of Research Productivity, Professional Trainings, & Organizational Affiliation to Teaching Performance in Higher Education."

Under the session Teaching Experiences, Pedagogy, Practice & Praxis, Dr. Eric presented another research entitled “Perceptions of Language Teacher Preparedness for Hyflex Learning." Dr. Jay Mark presented his research entitled "Critical Discourse Analysis of Teacher’s Green Discourse: An Input for Eco-Pedagogical Strategies” under the session Challenging & Preserving: Culture.

The conference was also attended by four part-time professors in the Graduate Studies Department, namely Dr. Ron Jewel Avendano, Dr. Gerardo Baez, Dr. Benjamin Dillena, and Dr. Jacquie Bamba Zamora-Marvilla, who also presented their research papers.
