The Office of the Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages (OVPRPL), in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Graduate Studies (OVPGS), organized the three-day 4th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research Innovations (ICIRI 4.0), December 2-4, 2022 through Google Meet.

Notable speakers of different industries and specializations worldwide shared their expertise during the plenary session. On Day 1, Dr. Nidhi Agarwal, a Professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities at Lincoln College University, Malaysia, and Prof. Amber Chere Brogden, Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Health Services Administration Xavier University - Cincinnati, Ohio graced the plenary session as the Keynote Speakers. Three guest speakers took part in the plenary for day 2, namely, Mr. Lonell R. Childred, Information Technology Consultant in Ohio, USA, Dr. Kamla Vashashisth, Emeritus Professor and Director in Jaipur National University, and Dr. Yusrizam Sharifuddin, Principal Assistant Director at the National Nanotechnology Centre (NNC) Ministry of Science, Technology, & Innovation, (MOSTI) Malaysia

There were 72 presented research in eight diversified parallel sessions, namely, (1.) Accountancy, Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Hospitality, Management, Tourism, (2.) Administration, Management, Governance, (3.) Allied Medical Sciences, Health, Psychology, Physical Sciences, (4.) Arts, Architecture, Culture, Humanities, Philosophy, Communication, Languages, Literature, (5.) Artificial Intelligence, Computer Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Robotics, (6.) Education, (7.) Food, Food Safety/Security, Community-Based Research, Social Sciences, Public Relations, and (8.) Innovations, Innovative Strategies.

Among all presented research, only one paper emerged as the Best Paper, and eight researchers were hailed as the Best Presenters – one for every parallel session. University President Sr. Editha S. Zerna OSA, PhD. bestowed these awards to the winners of ICIRI 4.0.

ICIRI is known to be the flagship international conference of LCUP, launched way back in 2012. It was followed by the 2nd and 3rd ICIRI in 2013 and 2015, respectively. After seven years, the University continued the legacy by spearheading the 4th ICIRI themed "Beyond Boundaries towards Education 4.0: Knowledge Explosion, Strategic Innovations, and Product Creation through International Research Explorations, Partnerships, and Collaborations". Although it was already the fourth time, this year's ICIRI was held on a virtual platform for the first time.
