LCUP EMERGES AS THE TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL IN DECEMBER 2022 RTLE; RECOGNIZES 5 CONSOLANIAN TOPNOTCHERS

January 5, 2023

La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) raised its flag of academic excellence as it ranked first in the December 2022 Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination, garnering a 100% passing rate. On top of that, four of the 20 Consolanian Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination passers and one X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examination taker were hailed as board top notchers.

The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) released the news on January 5, 2023, announcing 1,515 out of 3,759 successful Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination passers and 49 out of 263 successful passers of the X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examination.

Consolanians who aced the top spots in the Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination are Daniel John B. Padilla - 10th Placer, Wilson Ray L. Yabut - 9th Placer, Janella Nadine R. Bernabe - 7th Placer, and Andrei R. Buensuceso who ignited the victory for securing the 1st place. In addition, LCUP also prides Mr. Jasper Felipe Castro, who ranked 6th in the X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examination.

Thanksgiving Mass or Misa Pasasalamat was celebrated on January 13 as the institution's expression of praise and gratitude to Christ and honor to the Consolanian passers and the College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP) for such a tremendous milestone in its academic history. The holy mass was followed by awarding certificates of recognition to 20 Consolanian RTLE passers, including the 5 top notchers.

During the speech delivered by Buensuceso, he mentioned three elements that have been the critical parts of their 6-month journey of review and preparation that led them to success and stellar performances – discipline, commitment, and faith.

"After almost six months of preparation for the board exam and officially becoming a board exam passer, I realized that the exam's success does not really work like magic. It is indeed true that to pass the board exam requires an individual to have a great deal of discipline, commitment, and faith – faith in our capabilities and our almighty God." Buensuceso quoted.

Consolanians officially swore to their duties and responsibilities during the Oathtaking Ceremonies for X-Ray and Radiologic Technologists held on February 4, 2023, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), wherein the university represented by Sr. Editha S. Zerna, OSA, Ph.D., LCUP University President, Sr. Maria Corazon L. De Jesus, OSA, Vicar General of Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, Sr. Flolyn S. Catungal, OSA, Councilor on Apostolate: Schools and SPM and Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters Superintendent, Dr. Divina Ann M. Eusebio, LCUP Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jocelyn D. Hipona, Dean of the LCUP College of Allied Medical Professions, and Ms. Danica S. Pardalis, Program Head for Radiologic Technology, as well as the top notchers were given recognition.

Before this achievement, the university has proven its "Tatak Agustino" by achieving a 100% passing rate on the November 2022 Nursing Licensure Examination with 20 first-time takers. These milestones are part and parcel of the university's mission to uphold and live up to its quality policy that quality learning does not just occur; LCUP makes it happen
